La
Duena is a term for a woman of great authority. Blended by
Pete Johnson of Tatuaje for Janny Garcia of My Father Cigars
and rolled at the My Father facility, La Duena is, in Pete's
words, "a cross between La Riqueza and La Casita Criolla...
Flavor over strength." Featuring a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper
and a binder and filler of Connecticut Broadleaf and Nicaraguan
tobaccos, La Duena is limited to 100 total boxes. Expect notes
of pepper, spice, leather and dark espresso and an overall
sweetness. These are medium in body.
EPC
INCH
Strength: Medium to Full
Origin:
Dominican Wrapper: Ecuadorian
sun grown
Filler: Dominican and Nicaraguan Binder: Nicaraguan
Ernsto
Perez-Carrillo was inspired to name this new line of cigars
"the INCH" cigar after the No. 64, which measures 1 inch in
diameter. The INCH Series comes in Natural (Ecuador Sumatra)
and Maduro (Connecticut Broadleaf). The binder is from Nicaragua,
and the filler is a mix of Dominican Piloto Cubano, Corjo
and Criollo ’98 with some Nicaraguan Viso.
Tatuaje La Casita Criollo
Strength: Medium
Origin: Nicaragua
Wrapper: Connecticut Broadleaf
Filler: Connecticut Broadleaf Binder:
Connecticut Broadleaf
This
new line from Pete Johnson features 100% Broadleaf tobacco.
An homage to the broadleaf cigars made in the U.S. many years
ago, this is a departure from the other Tatuaje lines. Light
and woodsy at first with developing spice, it delivers some
complex flavors and good structure while showcasing the merits
of Connecticut Broadleaf.
