Illusione Cruzado Elitas (6 1/4 x 44)

The Illusione Cruzado Elitas is manufactured in the Raices Cubanas factory in Honduras, using a blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers with a Nicaraguan binder, and rolled in a Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper. By substituting viso for ligero in the filler and by easing up on the corojo content the result is a more balanced cigar that is less strong than the typical Illusione. Expect leathery and spicy notes.

 

Tatuaje Verocu Red Torpedo Tubos (6 1/8 X 52)

"Verocu" is a Cuban slang term loosly meaning "ballsy", and the new Tatuaje Red Label definitely delivers on full, bold flavor. About the Verocu, Pete says "This blend will have a Cafe Rosado Oscuro wrapper (as opposed to the Cafe Rosado in the Havana VI classic line) and we are adding Ligero tobacco to the blend to give the cigar a more robust taste. Basically, it’s a Havana VI on steroids".

 

Oliveros King Havano Knight Claro (6 1/2 x 54)

This strong, full-bodied line is comprised 100% of Nicaraguan Ligero Tobacco. The Claro is a little more subtle than the Oscuro, which is dark and rich. The big ring sizes may seem intimidating but they actually help to smooth out the powerful blend. The Claro is smooth with hints of sweet nuts and spice, delivering plenty of flavor and power for the seasoned cigar connoisseur.

The latest Rocky Patel Seasonal Blend is the 2009 Spring Collection. This medium bodied cigar sports a silky Sumatran wrapper. Expect flavors of mocha and coffee, with subtle notes of pepper and rich earthiness. Medium bodied, but with the satisfying mouthfeel and richness of a much fuller bodied smoke.
